Boutique Hotels – An Excellent Destination for Bed and Breakfast

For people who travel frequently, staying in standard, big chain hotels can become tedious and monotonous over time. Other boarding options, such as boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts, are unique and exciting alternatives to the average hotel room.

A boutique hotel is a coined term that began in the 1980s. In bigger cities, such as London and New York, hotels began popping up that were totally separate from the typical chain hotel groups. These boutique hotels boasted a unique experience for the people staying there, and are often times much smaller and less packed than big hotels. Many Los Angeles Hotels in Hollywood consider themselves "boutique hotels" and propose distinctive atmospheres, exceptional design, and exciting themes. At many boutique hotels, each individual room has an exclusive and different theme.

Bed and breakfasts are very similar to boutique hotels, but offer their own take on boarding. Most bed and breakfasts are created out of large, privately owned homes. These homes offer a private bedroom to the traveler, and serve breakfast and other meals in a communal area located in the home. To be considered a bed and breakfast, the establishment must provide 10 or fewer rooms for guests.
